Facts and Usage

Wolfgang Industrial Park has developed from the Royal Prussian Powder Factory that was founded in 1875. In 1933 – 75 years ago – the then so-called Degussa (German Gold and Silver Refinery) purchased the land and operating site. From 1959 onwards, the company concentrated on research and development at Wolfgang. In 2001, during the course of re-structuring work at the location, the modern industrial park was created. The main focus of the park are areas such as material technology, specialty chemistry, pharmaceutical, nano and biotechnology.
